The typical Amsterdam private tours might not include the beaches near the city, as there are a lot of things to do and see within the city limits itself. However, if you included those to your Amsterdam tours itinerary, it would add an extra element of excitement to your trip.
The beaches in the Dutch capital city are famous for its wild parties, serene ambiance, natural dunes, and breezy coastal paths. Most of the Amsterdam beaches are beautifully lined with shops and cafés, and are the best places to visit at any time of the year. What’s more, you could find almost anything here, be it water sports and activities or lively beach bars. Below are two of the most amazing beaches in Amsterdam that you must include in your schedule.
Zandvoort is one of the most popular beaches in Amsterdam. This beautiful beach gives you a spectacular combination of dunes with the sea. It is a perfect spot for water sports as well as to relax peacefully. This tourist-friendly beach also offers you a good choice of bars for food as well as drinks along with the beautiful seaside view. Visitors from all over Europe come here during summer for enjoying sunbath and for spending some leisure time. The clear water of this beach can be a fun place for swimming too.
The beach is 25 minutes away from Amsterdam city center. You could take a train from Amsterdam Centraal Station to reach the Haarlem (trains are available every 15 minutes). From here, you have to take another train to Zandvoort aan Zee. Note that there is a direct train from Amsterdam Centraal to Zandvoort beac during the summertime.
Bloemendaal is famous for its vibrant party atmosphere. There is a Bloemendaal aan Zee beach resort here, which becomes very lively at night. It often features live bands and DJs making the open-air night party even more spectacular. This beach also has an amazing selection of clubs and beach bars, which offer local as well as international cuisine to all travelers.
To reach Bloemendaal beach, you need to take a train from the Amsterdam Centraal Station to Zandvoort through Haarlem (as mentioned above). You could either travel by a bus from there or take a 25-minute stroll alongside the coastline to get to the beach.
